From ‘Go to Row’ the steps are simple… we have the patience, you just need the persistence.
Our popular ‘learn to row’ courses create the ideal introduction for new-comer’s to get a taste of this exciting, non-contact Olympic sport which is now been heralded as the fastest growing youth sport on the Sunshine Coast. The 6 week courses (minimum age, grade 7 students)
are conducted on a regular basis throughout the year with most LTR groups commencing in the middle of each month. Early bookings are essential.
The course provides an excellent opportunity for beginners to develop enough of the basic rowing skills to row in a single scull as well as crew boats.
While some participants are happy to come alone, others team up with some school mates for moral support. Either way the new rowers are soon mixing in with various crew boats within a very friendly environment.
The fee for the ‘learn to row’ course is $200 and this includes the required insurances under the umbrella of Rowing Queensland.
Our club has been established on a culture of ‘care and share, look after your fellow rower’ and we are very protective of that instilled culture.
